WORLD VISION’S30 Hour Famine2018PHOTOS
On the third weekend in May, about 20 of our middle school and high school students, along with several adult leaders, participated in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. As an added note, this year was our 20th anniversary participating in the 30 Hour Famine here at First Church.
Participants fasted to raise awareness about world hunger and also raised funds to support the global ministry of World Vision and the local ministry of Trinity Academy in Hartford.
This year’s theme was on the topic of Educational Injustice. Participants learned about the educational issues faced by youth living in under-resourced communities around the world. On Saturday morning, the group spent several hours cleaning and helping out at Trinity Academy.
Thank you for your prayers and your continued support of our First Church youth!—Pastor Todd
