Pageant Plus

Our 2017 Christmas Pageant Plus was a huge success! We began the night with a classic Christmas Pageant in the Meetinghouse. The amazing Buz Willard graciously served as our narrator, reading once again from our favorite Keith Jones script. It doesn’t get better than that!

Shepherds, sheep, and wise-men filled the room. The angels could be heard singing Glorias from on high! The role of Jesus was played by First Church’s very own newborn Abraham. He played the part perfectly, even embodying the words of Away in a Manger, “No crying did he make”! It was the perfect start to a night of joy.

After the Pageant, a large crowd gathered together in Keith Jones Hall for a night filled with laughter, food, and new friendships. Guests were assigned to tables, where they had the opportunity to make new friends, young and old.

This intergenerational celebration is an expression of our desire to be a “sticky” church where all ages come together to love God, love one another, and join in on the discipleship journey.

Tables competed in several silly winter-themed games; enjoyed delicious pizza, soup, and a hot cocoa bar; and had the opportunity to have their photos taken at our First Church photo booth (all are shown below).

It was a night we won’t soon forget and a great way to kick off a week of celebrating the arrival of our Savior Jesus!
