PALM SUNDAY LENTEN MEMORIAL CONCERT

SUNDAY, MARCH 25
4:00 PM
First Church Choirs
Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Ensemble
Marcia LaReau, Guest Conductor

We invite everyone to attend this deeply moving and sacred concert on Palm Sunday, March 25, at 4:00 p.m.

The season of the Resurrection is here! The Palm Sunday concert’s mood will be set by a haunting choral chant, followed by Barber’s Adagio for Strings—a contemplation of Christ’s sufferings. Then Pastor Deryk will serve as our narrator and lead us through Lenten Canticles, a service commemorating the steps of Christ that bring us face-to-face with our hope of salvation!

Finally, Brahms’s How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place will surround us with the tangible proclamation of our future hope.

Will you be with us? Join us in the singing of the time-tested hymns of Holy Week. Hear both new and familiar music to delve deeper into Christ. And be sure to bring your friends and family.
