ABOUT US
First Church Preschool is an outreach Christian preschool for children ages 3-5, where every child is loved, inspired and connected. Our program integrates Bible stores, scripture memory, and the modeling of Christian values into daily lessons and conversations. Each month, children attend chapel to hear stories about Jesus' love and promises.
OUR PURPOSE-We provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports each child's spiritual growth while encouraging social, emotional, and education development. Our goal is to prepare children for a lifetime of learning, academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
OUR PROGRAM- We use the Creative Curriculum, a play-based, research-driven approach that helps children meet state learning standards through physical, creative, and cognitive activities. Children learn through a balanced mix of child-directed exploration and teacher-guided instruction, ensuring meaningful growth across all areas of development.
Our program is designed to help your child grow and thrive in every area of development. We focus on strengthening:
- Listening skills
- Language Development
- Large and small motor skills
- Cognitive abilities
We are committed to nurturing personal and social growth by encouraging:
- A practical understanding of the Christian faith

SCHOOL YEAR & HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
First Church preschool closely follows the Wethersfield Public Schools calendar with some exceptions. We are open during most professional development days and for some holidays. A list of important dates can be found in the Parent Handbook.
