We are all called by Jesus to reach out and care for the needs of those around us.

There are several times in Scripture where Jesus tells His followers to become missionaries.

In Mark 16:15, He tells us, Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation.

In Matthew 28:19, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.

In Matthew 25:40, ...whatever you did to the least of these My brothers and sisters, you did to Me.

The Missions and Outreach Committee facilitates opportunities for church members to learn about missions and serve throughout the year in various activities—close to home and around the globe.

Whether you are interested in contacting one of the many missionaries we have partnered, or in finding opportunities to become involved, Missions and Outreach is the place to start.

John and Jennifer Berger

Ministry Description:
John makes prosthetic/orthotic devices for refugee amputees. John and Jennifer head up the refugee outreach of the only evangelical church in the city, Diyarbakir Protestant Church, with a team of five local churches. Their outreach efforts include weekly home visits, assessing needs for: distribution of ovens, mattresses, clothing, taking refugees to doctors appointments, women’s programs, children’s programs, music lessons(Jennifer) and monthly food distribution to 20 widows.

Randy and Jill Hasty

Ministry Description:
Randy's primary responsibilities involve training those involved in the typesetting process and creating training material for the future. He is also responsible for contacting the field for scripture publications and uploading those publications to the Digital Bible Library for electronic scripture publications. He will be working on Archive Digital Bible Library scriptures to REAP (this should be underway after I finish the McKinney book).
Jill serves as the Welcome Desk Manager at the Center Director’s Office with a max of 20 hrs/wk (this includes her 9 hrs/wk as receptionist to the Welcome Desk M/F mornings.)

Emil and Sarah Helm

Ministry Description:
Emil and Sarah Helm provide strategy support to North African Believers and Latin American “workers" working throughout North Africa and the Middle East. To use an analogy, we are like an overseas military base and MASH unit providing in service training and care so that our Christian “soldiers" not only can survive on the field of battle but thrive. Emil has been working in the recording of 25 sessions on Discipleship in Spanish and promoting the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement in Spanish. Sarah has been mentoring interns and teaching English to Moroccan immigrants in Malaga.

Samuel Hollings

Ministry Description:
Sam works as a Team Leader for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. IVCF engages both Christian and non-Christian college students with the Gospel during the most formative years of their lives. We seek to see students move from cynic, to seeker, to follower, to leader and finally the world-changer. Let's transform Connecticut by transforming the state's universities to see the next generation living for Jesus Christ!

Anneli Johnson

Ministry Description:
Anneli is a member of the International staff CRU team— The Every Initiative.
Millions of Muslim refugees have left their unreached countries in the Middle East and flooded into Europe, the least Christian continent in the world. Our heart is to partner with local churches to meet the needs of refugees so that they can experience the beauty of the Gospel. By inviting university students to join us in serving refugees, we hope to see local European communities transformed by the Gospel at the same time as refugee communities.
