A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR DERYK
Are you searching for a church community that, beyond welcoming you, will give you a sense of truly belonging?
Here, at First Church, we believe you will find that community. We are disciples who cherish Jesus and crave for more of Him. We are a family that savors their time with one another. We are a group of friends who want to make a difference in our neighborhoods. We would love for you to join our community.
VISITING ON SUNDAYS
CHOOSE A SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE — We have a TRADITIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE which gathers in the Meetinghouse at 9:00 AM and our CONTEMPORARY SERVICE (WIND) is held in Keith Jones Hall at 10:30 AM. On your first visit, it's best to arrive about 10 minutes early.
PARKING — Our parking lot is located at 250 Main Street and includes marked spots for seniors, those with disabilities, and visitors. We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes prior to the service time for easier parking. There is also ample parking in areas around the church.
COME ON IN! — The Cadwell Building serves as the main entrance from the parking lot. A receptionist is available to answer questions and guide you toward the Meetinghouse (traditional) or Keith Jones Hall (Wind contemporary), as well as locations for young people—Crib Room, childcare, Church School, and the middle school group. Maps of the church facility are also available at the Reception Desk.
WORSHIP — Greeters will welcome you to the service, there will be overhead slides outlining the order of service. Prior to COVID-19, near the beginning, everyone is invited to greet one another; you will not be singled out as a visitor. Worship consists of prayer, music, a biblical sermon, and an offering. Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month as well as during special services throughout the year.
LET US HELP YOU — If you or someone you know and love is going through a hard time, we would love to be able to pray for you. Due to COVID and it's variants, we are at this time taking prayer requests via our PRAYER REQUEST link here on our website. Please submit a prayer request form and someone from our Prayer team would be happy to contact you.
STILL NOT SURE ABOUT VISITING?
We'd be happy to answer those questions that you still have. Please just give us a call us at the church at 860.529.1575, we are happy to help!
