Welcome to Youth Ministries
Middle school and high school can be some of the most exciting—and most challenging—years of life. Students are faced with new experiences, deep questions, and a longing for belonging. We believe the best place to navigate these years is within the family of Jesus and the life of His church.
We aim to create lifelong disciples of Jesus who live with purpose and joy by:
Our prayer is that every student who engages regularly with our community will graduate with great memories, a resilient faith, life-long friendships, and the confidence to step into the future knowing they belong to Christ and to His church.
Mark your calendar for True Beauty 2025, a one-day event here at First Church for girls in grades 6–12 on Sunday, November 23, from 2:30–8:00 PM. The afternoon will include dinner, creative projects, exciting games, and thoughtful, faith-based conversations about the important topics teenage girls want to hear about.
We are also looking for mature female adult leaders to help out with this event. Whether you're gifted with the ability to have mature spiritual conversations with teenage girls or just want to help us clean up after the event, we can use your help!
Registration is $25 to cover food and material costs. If you have any questions, or want to help out, please contact Josh Arcata, Director of Youth and Young Adults Ministries, at youth@firstchurch.org.

Confirmation is a chance for students to explore, own, declare, and live out their faith more intentionally. From October–June, high schoolers (grades 9–12) meet one Sunday each month for dinner and guided conversation using the Alpha Youth curriculum to cover the essentials of Christianity. When the course ends, students may choose to be confirmed during a special Sunday service and are also encouraged to be baptized.
