Welcome to Youth Ministries
Middle school and high school can be some of the most exciting—and most challenging—years of life. Students are faced with new experiences, deep questions, and a longing for belonging. We believe the best place to navigate these years is within the family of Jesus and the life of His church.
We aim to create lifelong disciples of Jesus who live with purpose and joy by:
- Introducing teens to Jesus of Nazareth and his way of life
- Helping teens develop rhythms and values that deepen their faith and relationship with Jesus
- Fostering a community where teenagers genuinely want to be
- Serving teenagers well while teaching them the value of serving others
- Helping teens find their place in the larger family of Jesus
Our prayer is that every student who engages regularly with our community will graduate with great memories, a resilient faith, life-long friendships, and the confidence to step into the future knowing they belong to Christ and to His church.
Middle School Class (Grades 6-8)
During the 10:30 AM Contemporary Service, the Middle School Class meets in room M103 for engaging, age-appropriate lessons about scripture.
On the first Sunday of the month, during our Combined Service, our middle schoolers are invited to worship with their families in the Meetinghouse.
The last Middle School Class gathering of the 2025-2026 school year will be Sunday, June 21.
Youth Group (Grades 6-12)
Youth Group meets each Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Youth Room. Each week we will enjoy games, snacks, worship, and a group discussion about life and faith.
The last regular Youth Group gathering of the 2025-2026 school Year will be Sunday, June 14.
Our end-of-year Pool Party will be on Sunday, June 28, at 25 Broad St, East Hartford, CT, from 5:30 - 9PM
Heatwave at Camp Berea!
Join us this Summer at Camp Berea for a week of fun and fellowship! When registering, be sure to select Heat Wave “Jr/Sr High #4” during your registration and also choose First Church of Christ -Wethersfield when asked if you are coming with a group! Questions?
