Karla is grateful for the opportunity to join the staff as an assistant teacher in the 3's classroom! A stay-at-home mom until her youngest started kindergarten two years ago, she discovered what she was meant to do while providing childcare for the Mastering Motherhood Program and then later, as a substitute teacher at First Church Preschool. A resident of Wethersfield, she is also an active volunteer at her children's elementary school, Emerson-Williams. Prior to stay-at-home mom life, Karla graduated from Providence College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and moved to Connecticut after accepting a job at Travelers Insurance handling environmental litigation. She loves spending time with her husband, Manny, and their two children, Alex and Eliana. Her family enjoys planning Disney vacations, visiting the beach during all seasons, and eating dinner at The Charles. She can't wait to meet her class of students!
