Kristin Hacker
Head Teacher | 5 Day 3's Class
Kristin first became involved at First Church in 2013 as a substitute teacher and co-chair of the Parent Committee for two years, during the time she was a stay-at-home mom, and her children were enrolled in the preschool. Before that, she spent nearly a decade at The Hartford, where she specialized in classroom training for employees. Inspired by a deepening passion for early childhood education, Kristin spent four years teaching in the Pre-K 5’s classroom before joining the 3’s team in 2020. She is excited to continue nurturing creativity, connection, and confidence in little learners- especially in the areas of social-emotional development and process-based art. Outside the classroom, Kristin enjoys gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family. She lives in Old Wethersfield with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, James (15) and Luke (13.)
