MIDWEEK CONNECT

Wednesdays

We all want to be in a place “where everybody knows your name.” 

But we also want to know more about the God who loves us and how we can follow Him. 

That’s what’s happening at First Church on Wednesday nights,

a place to connect with others and with God.


—COMMUNITY DINNER—

Dinner is served Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 6:15 PM, in Keith Jones Hall, and is both tasty and nutritious. 

Suggested donations are $5 for one, and $10 for a family. 

You don’t need to register—just come!

ACTIVITIES — GRADES 1-4

FAITHWEAVER FRIENDS (Kids’ Club) — This weekly gathering is an exciting time to experience the Joy of Jesus in community with friends. Some of our activities include: Surprise Station, Music, Games, Project With a Purpose, and Snack-It Café. This time is all about encouraging one another in our journey to follow Jesus. 

FaithWeaver Friends meets in the Fireside Room, 6:30–8:00 PM.


ACTIVITIES — GRADES 5-8

MIDDLE SCHOOL PF youth group — We have a blast at Middle School PF! Our time together involves games, worship, inspiring messages, and small-group time to help kids process what Jesus is seeking to do in their lives. 

Middle School PF meets in the Youth Room, 6:30–8:00 PM.

ALPHA

6:30 PM in Church Parlor (Marsh Building-First Floor)

Join us for this 11–­­session Alpha series.

Beginning with Midweek Connect dinner at 5:30 PM (free for Alpha participants),

followed by class at 6:30 PM in the Church Parlor, for answers to such questions as: Why do I need God in my life?

Is Jesus relevant to life today? And many more that seekers and new Christians might have.

PRAYER LIFE TRANSFORMATION

Join Pastor Deryk for a five-week class on one of his favorite books on prayer.

that meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM.

CULTIVATING A FOREVER FAITH

Join this five-week study with Tessa, starting Wednesday, April 15–May 20 (skipping May 6) at 6:30 PM.

For the first three weeks, we will dig deep into the Scriptures to learn the unique lessons Priscilla and Aquila teach us. During the following two sessions we will focus on a book discussion of Daughter of Rome,

Tessa’s latest novel based on Priscilla and Aquila.

Life Recovery Study

6:30–8 PM in M106 (Lower Level in the Marsh Building)

We all have struggles in life—struggles with anxiety, fear, food, depression, addictions and relationship issues to name just a few. There is a way however, to walk through our struggles utilizing tools that God freely gives us in his Word.   

The Life Recovery Study offers an opportunity to face our struggles and learn to walk through them in community.
The material is Biblically based and utilizes the Life Recovery Bible as curriculum.  

If you’re ready to start your journey, or continue to cultivate the fruit of the work you have done already, join us!

DIVORCECARE

Weekly video series and support group

6:30–8:30 PM in the Morgan House Drawing Room

A new 13-week cycle begins January 8.

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time, when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before. DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each session has two distinct elements: A seminar with experts and a support group with focus.
